Baan Fueng Fah
My last Sunday was not the same, I wasn’t hung over at my own bed, and my gin-soaked butts were not rooted to the couch. My good friends, Patrick, founder and organizer of Ribbseater Foundation, who has not appear to have only his beauty from the outside but also skin deep. He organized an event that we would visit Baan Fuengfah Orphanage in Pak Kred, Nonthabuti.
I couldn’t help but the think that most of the pictures that shown in travel guide book to Thailand, normally filled with painted and colorful very rosy pictures of Thai society where people aspire to "Nam jai", kindness, and merit is gained through generous acts. People eagerly seek the opportunity to be generous and in Thai society what goes around comes around so an individual benefits from others kindness to the point where the whole system reaches a beautifully harmonious balance.
Of course there are skinflints but the word goes round through gossip and these people are eventually shunned. I agree that Thai people have a giving nature and if for some it is in the hope of getting something back, it is still giving. We also do it regularly, bringing gifts to orphanages (mainly food) and each time I go, I'm pretty happy to see we're not the only ones.
Bunch of us was not only Thai but multi-national visited them and donated food, clothes and all neglect items. When we arrived and saw those children, some of them I couldn’t tell apart from normal kids that we see on street and some of them you couldn’t help but sorry for them.
These children didn’t need any of luxury in life or money but they need love and caring. It was such a beautiful feeling to seeing my friends went straight hugging, caressing and carrying those kids. I could see theirs smiles and hear their laughter from time to time. I was overwhelmed and heart-warming and speechless and that was weird because I was a gay with all the words.
When you visit the orphanages, you can see the joy in the eyes of every one of the children, it’s the look in those eyes and the smiles on their faces that keep you coming back.”
Some of my friends felt why the world was unfair to these kids, they did nothing wrong but been abandoned. I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of parents left their children behind? May know nothing about being a parent but if I had a child and there is something wrong with him/her physically or mentally I would try to help and cure or even love them more.
I was very impressed with the work there. Not only do the people there (Baan Fuengfah Staffs) take care of the children by providing them with basic care, cooking and feeding them foods. These people who work at this orphanage and those of you who came along with this event were real heroes walking the earth.
Good things would only happen when somebody put the hands into it, action is louder than words. I do support Gay Parenting because none of them would raise any kid unwanted!!
There is no more noble occupation in the world than to assist another human being-to help someone succeed.
“We are here to make a difference, then do it”
- I have come to realize more and more that the greatest disease and the greatest suffering is to be unwanted, unloved, uncared for, to be shunned by everybody, to be just nobody (to no one).

Poor Handicapped and Orphanage Children
This past Sunday, I spent a very quality time which on few occasions I would have done so. I and my friends, we went to "Baan Fuengfah" which is "Mentally Handicapted Babies' Home Foundation". We brought toys, food and clothes to give to these children. We were playing with them and feeding them and truly they were happy with their big smiles. It has made us see another side of reality which we commonly don't see in our luxury daily lives. It has made us see how fortunately we are and our children are. We sympathized these children. They are not only being abandoned, but they are also handicapped and disabled. Most of them can't help themselves. There are few that in critical condition, in which they are blind and have mental or behavioral disabilities. We just don't want to imagine how their lives would be when they grow up, however we all wish them well and good future.
Being a mother myself, I would ever never abandon my child, regardless of whatever condition he is or how my financial status is. And I urge all the mothers/parents out there not to do so, especially if your children are handicapped, which they would definitely need more care and love then normal babies. If any family is not financially ready to raise a child, then please prevent from having one. We are all human beings, therefore we should have a sense of moral more than animals.
