Through our series of successful events and International DJ'S we brought Bangkok(Thailand) this year 2008. This end of september we continue doing so by flying in french hunk, supermodel and much talented DJ WILD from Hong Kong on his Asia Tour.

DJ WILD BIO :

House music could be expressed as a never-ending bass line. This would be a fitting description for the music delivered by the mysterious duo of Parisian electronic music producers known collectively as Catwash, who have been present on dance floors around the world during the last 3 years. Catwash music has been distinguished by international music & cultural press, prompting descriptions such as "hypnotic" and “phenomenal”. The music has been played by the majority of international Dj’s. The Catwash sound dips into the minimal house music path with a pronounced taste for acid-house abrasive, TB-303 and electronic atmospheres.

The Catwash project, musical production unit in a broad sense (it is a duo of electronic music, but also a label), is managed by Dj Wild, known for his explosive Dj sets on the international techno,house & minimal scene for more than thirteen years.

Dj Wild was born in Dijon and now lives in Paris. He was first seduced by the hip hop culture, which, at the end of 80’s, united dancers, mc's, singers and dj’s around music, in a festive spirit which is difficult to recreate. His artistic life started as a graffiti artist in the suburbs of Dijon. His stage name is an allusion to the cult movie of the 80’s "Wild Style," which captures the spirit of the pioneers of hip-hop in New York in the late 70’s.

In the early 90's, in France, techno music was considered a marginal movement only played in a small number of Parisian clubs such as the Boy or Luna. Having returned from England, after the explosion of "Summer of Love" in 1989, the Parisian Dj Laurent Garnier had his first residence in Dijon, at l’Enfer, which is now closed. In this quiet little town, opportunities to party were scarce and DJ Wild was immediately seduced by Laurent Garnier’s Dj sets at the Wake Up parties. This was a crucial revelation for the continuation of his artistic adventure.

In 1996, DJ Wild had his first opportunity to take possession of the turntables and started playing in Clubs in Paris (Fumoir at Palace, Queen, Rex…). The same year, he met Peter Rauhofer and produced an ep, “Magic Orgasm”, N°1 in the charts in several countries. From that moment, he became internationally known.

In 1999, he began again to produce music when he met Chris Carrier and Guillaume la Tortue (French Dj and producer in the 90’s). He signed 6 ep’s with them on Combustible and Adult Only between 1999 and 2002.

In 2003, Wild and Chris Carrier created the band Catwash, tribute to the famous 70’s movie “Car Wash” (cult musical known for its soundtrack written by Norman Whitfield, father of the Motown in the 60’s). First, Catwash is the fusion of two creative entities which prioritises the dance floor music and electronic influences. Their first ep’s were released on famous labels known for the quality of their productions (Detour, Visitor, Brique Rouge, Crack & Speed, Adult Only and Get Physical). Very quickly, they were shown off by international Dj’s such as Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall, Derrick Carter or John Digweed. Thanks to the new success and popularity of Catwash music, Dj Wild will play all around the world.

In 2005, Catwash became a music label, with a recognizable logo drawn by Dj Wild (it represents a cat who doesn’t like to be washed), and a personal touch acquired through their different productions. The inherent goal of the label is to create a family atmosphere with its artists and to improve other electronic music producers’ creativity. Dj Wild adopts a love-at-first-sight technique for his label, in terms of what he plays and produces. That’s why Monomachine, Tommy Four Seven and Rekleiner joined his label.

Today, Dj Wild, 32, is always present on the electronic music scene and signs numerous tracks with Catwash or under his name. He also wants to write a new page of his musical history by collaborating with other musicians (a collaboration with Kova Rea is announced on his next ep), launch the expected Catwash album and a live ep with Chris Carrier. The bass line will not stop…

UNIVERSAL PLAYER is proud to be organizer and host for yet another exclusive event, featuring Rising super star group KITTY GIRLS from Manila (The Philippines).

The Kitty Girls is an all-girl singing group formed in 2006, in the Philippines, consisting of Jocelyn Oxlade, Ayanna Oliva, Nicole Deen, Veronica Scott and Tanya Yuquimpo. The Kitty Girls is a sing-and-dance group that's currently getting a lot of attention in Asia and soon to be worldwide.

The group is dubbed the Philippines' version of the Pussycat Dolls.
In 2007, under the guidance of Joji Dingcong, the girls were signed to Star Records (a subsidiary of ABS-CBN).
The Kitty Girls were the opening act for the Akon--Live In Manila Concert. On January 2008 the girls released their debut album with the carrier single "K.I.T.T.Y.".
February 15, 2008 the Kitty Girls staged their first major concert dubbed One purr...fect Kitty Night.
They were on the cover of FHM Philippines December 2007 Issue and on April 2008 The Kitty Girls appeared on the cover of Gadgets Magazine.
